S4:E5 Black Like Me

black like me

In this episode, @Smooth_Orator, @Taut_7, @Negroid_Android and @Lex_topia have a conversation regarding our different upbringings as black people and how our views of the greater community of Black people were/are shaped.

The questions that were answered were:

1. Do you identify more with your nationality or more with your ethnicity? i.e., Do you identify yourself more as Bahamian, Nigerian, Jamaican as opposed to Black American?

2. What sort of conversations, if any, did you have about Black Americans vs “immigrant” Black people? Whether it was with family members, friends, or read about.

3. Did you feel like the way you grew up and the way your Black friends grew up was a markedly different experience? Why?
